Capacity Building for Teachers on students’ guidance and counseling.

Capacity Building on the contribution of Teachers of Primary, Secondary and Higher Learning Institutions on Students’ Guidance and Counselling in Mtwara Mikindani Municipal Council.

The workshop was organized by Catholic Diocese of Mtwara and it was held on 9^th March 2024 at Mtwara Sisters Seminary Secondary School in Mtwara Mikindani Municipal Council. The Diocese invited some members from the department of Education at STeMMUCo to be facilitators of the workshop. This workshop involved all Christian Teachers who are Catholic members teaching in both Public and Private schools, colleges and University college, with emphasis on playing the guidance and counselling roles specifically, the workshop was keenly concerned with advising teachers not to concentrate on academic issues only but also on other aspects related to child development, ethics and moral aspects for their endeavor expected good citizenship. The workshop was enjoyable.
