The Bachelor’s program (B.A Sociology) focuses on three main axes:
Advanced critical thinking and theoretical knowledge
Practical content: Field attachments
Direct and permanent contact with the research world
Entry requirements
Candidates should be holders of the Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (A.C.S.E.E) with two principal level passes in appropriate subjects at the same sitting with a minimum of 5 points. A candidate must have at least five (5) credit passes in the Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (C.S.E.E), including English language. Two principal level passes both of at least “C” grade, if not at the same sitting.
Candidates must hold a relevant Diploma of at least second-class standing from an Institution recognized by the Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU)
A candidate of mature age (25 years old) who possesses the Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (C.S.E.E “O” level) with at least five passes and three credits in approved subjects, which should include English and has a minimum of four years working experience in a relevant field may Such candidates must be ready to take special aptitude test
Candidates from countries with 8-4-4 systems of education must have completed successfully at least one year of university study in their countries of origin or undertaken a one year certificate programme offered by any Institution recognized by TCU
